About Tools for Change

Tools For Change is a CDFI Fund helping thousands of businesses since 1989 and formulated to address the economic disparity amongst African American, minority, disadvantaged, woman and veteran owned small businesses in Miami Dade County. Our programs are catered to qualifying small businesses to acquire assets and capital despite their economically underprivileged status. We currently provide one on one entrepreneur consulting, business development courses, technical assistance, and Micro Loan Programs for small businesses and the entrepreneurs.

By supporting small businesses which are the backbones of our community generate revenue, creating/retaining jobs, and giving them access to capital we have made a difference in many lives. We have been recognized on radio stations, news outlets and by our local governors, mayors, and commissioners. Tools For Change has become a beacon of hope for many businesses and their employees prior to the Covid-19 pandemic and beyond. We can only continue the revitalization of these disadvantage communities and their entrepreneurs with the help of everyone in our community.

We offer technical assistance programs and 101 business management educational classes for many qualified businesses. Many of our clients have successfully earned their Entrepreneur Certificate and have applied for TFC loans after their completion of this and many other programs offered here at Tools For Change. We believe that education is the first step in the fight against poverty, so we strive on helping small business owners receive the tools they also need so they can give back to their own communities. Serving our community by instilling knowledge and helping business owners fund the creation and retention of jobs throughout these low-income high unemployment rate areas is our number one goal.
